Canarian Dreams

I can sleep like a lion and prioritize my sleep highly. One of the beautiful things it brings to me is the connection with the subconscious - in my view the most magical and powerful part of the human mind.

Recently I revisited the canarian scenery - the last years I used to travel to the canaries to escape the darker and colder months in Germany.
As I used to in my vacations I did some physical exercise, followed by some running along the coastline. A bit tired and inattentive, I stumbled across a rock formation. I fell towards the Atlantic ocean and was badly hurt. Luckily my accident happened in a more popular area where tourists and locals walk around.

After my accident I entered a weird situation. My senses were sharper than ever before. I could feel the living ocean and hear each tone of the whispering wind. Everything happening seemed so connected to each other as I hadn't perceived it before. Although trying badly I was unable to move and speak. Though lying in a visible location, passing passengers did not realise me. It was as if I was disguised by some camouflaging cloak. I entered a state of timelessness and lost count of the days that passed by. Is this the end I wondered - am I now a purely spiritual being?

All of the sudden I felt a tender touch at my cheek. Gradually my frozen state resolved itself. I felt my legs and arms again and slowly turned around. Because it was night I could barely see anything at first sight. I was able to speak again and asked hesitantly: Who are you ? A notably charming and friendly voice answered: I'm your savior. My vision became clearer as a cloud passed the moon it had covered before. I could recognize a beautiful shape akin to that of a mermaid. Are you real? - I asked incredulously. The being answered with its soft voice: Sure - follow me! She swiftly turned around and jumped into the ocean.

At this point in time I woke up and returned to the thing we call reality.

Note:

The less touristy parts of Tenerife are a great place to live a simple sportive life and do some creative coding. The foundation of this project was also inspired by this beautiful environment and its friendly inhabitants. I'm looking forward to come back in the next winter season.
